SUMMARY:CBSE Adolescent Summit
DESCRIPTION:From December 15th to 17th\, 2022\, students from The Khaitan School participated in the CBSE Adolescent Summit on Life Skills\, Mental Health\, Safety\, and Well-Being in collaboration with Expressions India. The following students from class XI-F\, Shambhavi Srivastava\, Sanskriti Sagar\, Harshita Hariharan\, and Swara Mishra represented their school and advocated for the need for ongoing dialogue and educational intervention to empower adolescents as Mental Health and Well-Being Ambassadors. When adolescents learn knowledge\, values\, and life skills\, they benefit in numerous ways. This was demonstrated through a student exhibition highlighting the key qualities that help them to make informed decisions\, solve problems\, think critically and creatively\, communicate effectively\, build healthy relationships\, empathize with others\, and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner. \n \nA Nukkad Natak (street play) on the theme of stigma and stereotypes surrounding mental health was performed\, raising awareness of the need for each of us to be agents of change in accepting mental health issues and addressing the need to overcome them. Adolescent challenges were also depicted through a dance presentation. \nThe summit featured notable speakers such as Dr. Jitendra Nagpal\, Director of Expressions India\, Dr. Joseph Emmanuel\, Director of CBSE\, famous Indian Kathak dancer Ms. Shovana Narayan\, Indian journalist Mr. Rajat Sharma\, IAS Ms. LS Changsan\, and Dr. Rama Sharma\, Public Relations Officer of CBSE. Each speaker emphasized the fact that mental health is just as important as physical health and nurturing one’s life skills during youth can greatly contribute to building strong resilience. Our youth needs to understand the impact of good mental health so that they can become responsible citizens and help others to be more healthy. By making an effort to spread mental health awareness\, we can work to de-stigmatize our attitudes towards\, approach to\, and identification of mental health issues in our society. \n \nHaving difficult conversations and acknowledging that there is a problem allows us to find a solution. We can start to remove the shame and fear often associated with mental health topics. Doing so increases the likelihood of someone seeking help when they need it. Asking for help is a sign of strength\, and working together allows us to build a foundation that respects and values good mental health. Focusing on mental health awareness increases knowledge of the signs and symptoms of certain conditions. Early intervention is often key to the success of mental health treatment for many conditions. The earlier someone is diagnosed and begins treatment\, the more likely they are to manage their condition and improve their mental health. \nThe summit ended with the key message that we all need to empower ourselves through self-care and seek help in any way possible to overcome daily challenges.

SUMMARY:Inter-House Basketball Competition (Girls)
DESCRIPTION:The Primary wing Girls’ Inter-House basketball competition took place over two days\, from December 20th to 21st\, 2022. The tournament featured many close contests\, with each team working hard to score baskets. It was a fiercely competitive event\, with each house giving their all on the court. \n \nThe first knock-out match was played between Meghalaya and Shiwalik\, and the second was between Aravalli and Nilgiri. These matches determined the finalists for the event\, with Meghalaya and Nilgiri coming out on top. On the second day\, the first match was played between Shiwalik and Aravalli for third place\, with Shiwalik ultimately securing third place. In the final match\, the winning teams from round one competed for the event winner\, and Meghalaya emerged as the interhouse champion in a closely contested match. The final rankings were: Meghalaya in first place with 4 house points\, Nilgiri in second place with 3 points\, Shiwalik in third place with 2 points\, and Aravalli in fourth place with 1 point.

SUMMARY:Christmas Day Celebration 2022
DESCRIPTION:“Christmas brings family and friends together\, and reminds us to spread love to those who need it most.” \nOn December 23rd\, 2022\, a special assembly was held for students in grades 1 to 5. The students were excited to plan the celebration and wore red and white outfits to match the occasion. The assembly began with a prayer to God to bring happiness and protect all mankind from evil. A message from the Bible was read to the students\, reminding them to trust in God and listen to his guidance in all that they do. \n \nThe students in grades 1 and 2 performed a nativity play\, reenacting the birth of Jesus Christ and the events that followed. The play was accompanied by a choir singing carols to spread joy and peace. It was heartwarming to hear the students share their thoughts on the true meaning of Christmas\, including the importance of decorating the Christmas tree\, being charitable\, and spreading warmth and prayer for all people. \n \nStudents were also awarded prizes for their excellent performance in English and Hindi poetry recitation and an interschool skating tournament. The head of the school appreciated the participants for their understanding of the essence of Christmas. Toward the end of the assembly\, Santa Claus arrived to interact with the children and distribute sweets and chocolates. The children sang “Jingle Bells” and cheered for Santa\, bringing joy\, hope\, and peace to the hearts of the students and teachers alike

DESCRIPTION:We Are Indians\, Firstly and Lastly. ~ BR Ambedkar \nOn January 25\, 2023\, The Primary School Students of The Khaitan School\, Noida observed the 74th Republic Day. \nAs part of the celebration\, the students watched a video on Subh Sukh Chain Ki-with auspicious happiness (Anthem of Free India)\, during which they were instructed to stand in respectful silence as they heard the soulful and patriotic anthem\, which gave them a sense of pride in their nation. The students discussed Subhash Chandra Bose and the contribution he made to the struggle for independence from British domination. \n \nClass 1 and Class 2 students celebrated Republic Day at Circle Time in their respective classrooms. They attended the Republic Day Presentation and felt honoured to commemorate the fusion of numerous cultural differences into a single\, cohesive whole on this day. \nThe kids discussed the Republic Day parade they had seen on television and were quite excited about the activities of the holiday. They could recognize the contribution of the young children who had received the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar and the Pradhanmantri Bal Puraskar for their tremendous bravery\, talent\, innovation\, and sacrifice had contributed to the advancement of the nation. \n \nThe students were given a written questionnaire and colouring pages related to the ethnic tableaux that were featured in the parade\, and they enthusiastically took part in both of these activities. The youngsters could also recognise the differences between this year’s procession and last year’s. \nThey also took part in a quiz on Republic Day\, which increased their knowledge and instilled in them a sense of pride. They learned about the history and importance of the Republic Day and felt incredibly happy and honoured to have been a part of this ceremony and learned about the background and importance of the Republic Day.

SUMMARY:National Road Safety Week 2023- The Students Learnt The Traffic Rules
DESCRIPTION:Road Safety Week for children is an initiative aimed at educating and raising awareness among children about road safety and the importance of following traffic rules and regulations. The aim is to prevent road accidents and promote safe and responsible behavior while using roads. \nTo propagate and advance the cause of safer roads for everyone\, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways observed Road Safety Week from January 11–17\, 2023\, as part of “Swachhata Pakhwada”. \n \nThe students Khaitan School Noida observed road safety week. The activites that the students enthusiastically participated in making posters\, creating slogans\, and taking a quiz to increase public awareness of traffic regulations. \n \nThe primary causes of traffic accidents were the topic of discussion. The teachers played the Road safety videos and and taught the students the road Signs and Traffic Rules. They received instructions on how to cross the road carefully as well as an introduction to road safety terms and safety signals. \nThe following themes were discussed after a presentation to the class: –  \n\nIn all circumstances\, cross the street only at a pedestrian crossing.\nIf there isn’t a pedestrian crossing\, look both ways before crossing.\nNever go through the space between the parked cars.\nNever ignore warnings\, and never run on a busy road.\nWhen walking on the road\, always utilise the sidewalks. Ask them to follow the fundamental guidelines and utilise the side routes whether the road is vacant or busy.\nWhen driving or riding in a moving vehicle\, such as a school bus\, observe the traffic laws.\nNever stick your heads or hands out the window.\n\nRoad safety Dos and Don’ts were also discussed. The kids participated in exercises including slogan writing\, quizzes\, and pledges to increase their awareness of road safety regulations. The aim of breaking the rules of road safety and the consequences of doing so were also outlined to the kids.  \n \nThe sensitization will make sure that the young kids are more careful when they are moving on the roads or travelling\, and they will grow up to be well-informed and law-abiding students in the future.

SUMMARY:Veer Bal Diwas 2022- A Tribute To Guru Gobind Ji's Sons
DESCRIPTION:Every year on December 26th\, Veer Baal Diwas is observed to commemorate the martyrdom of Baba Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh\, the Sahibzade of 10th Guru Govind Singh Ji. It was announced by the ministry of Culture\,Govt of India. \nThe Khaitan School in Noida celebrated Veer Bal Diwas on Monday\, December 26\, 2022. All of the students were informed about this day through a digital exhibition and video that highlighted the bravery and courage of Guru Gobind Singh ji’s two younger sons. The Sikh guru Gobind Singh Ji had four sons Sahibzada Ajit Singh\, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh\, and the younger ones- Sahibzada Zorawar Singh\, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. \n \nSahibzada Fateh Singh was six years old and Sahibzada Zorawar Singh was eight years old at the time of the Supreme Sacrifice. Elder siblings had heroically fought against the Mughals and given their lives as well. \nOur teachers gave the students in-depth information and emphasized the importance of their sacrifice for the nation.The sacrifices made by Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh were honoured and remembered by the students.They created the thank-you cards and vowed to meet life’s problems with bravery and heroism. \nAlong with the youngsters\, the teachers shared similar accounts of bravery and sacrifice from their own lives. The digital exhibition that was downloaded from the link provided in the circular was also displayed to advertise the event. \n \nThey were inspired that we should not forget the great sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and their sons. We will always be appreciative of them and adhere to their values.

DESCRIPTION:On December 27\, 2022\, the Class 2A students organised the Class Assembly with great enthusiasm. Teachers and students from all sections of Class 2 attended the assembly\, which was held in the school auditorium. \nThe assembly’s learning objectives included: \n\nTo provide kids a stage on which to display their abilities and skills.\nTo improve student’s’ performance and public speaking abilities.\nTo motivate kids to interact positively with their classmates.\nTo encourage the practise of reflecting on one’s knowledge from the classroom and current events.\nTo make it easier for kids to understand the month’s theme\, “Music.”\n\nThe Assembly’s primary activities and events included the following: \nMorning Prayer: Divita and Jenisha\, the comperes\, welcomed everyone to the meeting by inviting the choir to the morning prayer. \nNews: Aarohi provided the day’s news in order to keep the audience informed of the most recent events taking place throughout the world. The importance of following the news was emphasised to the students. \nEnglish language lessons: The students discussed what they had learned about music in their English classes. The kids informed the audience of this as well as how they had been practising “Picture Description” as part of their writing abilities. \nMusical Instruments: This was followed by a brief educational discussion on musical instruments\, during which one student spoke up and provided details about several instruments. This encouraged the idea of peer learning by assisting their classmates in learning about the same things. \nMathematical learnings: To discuss the lessons learned in math class\, a student described how they discovered several mathematical operations by asking relevant questions based on the “Remo the Rhino” narrative. \nPottery: Aaryan thought about how to build a cottage out of clay as he discussed the process of mastering pottery. \nYoga: A few students demonstrated certain asanas as Deetya spoke about the advantages of the practice. \n \nDance: A student spoke about several Indian dance styles. The students also learned about the classical and folk dance styles during this talk. \nIn order to wrap up the programme\, the students shared their opinions and reflections on the assembly. The National Anthem was performed to bring the event to a close. Overall\, the event went off smoothly and gave the students a feeling of accomplishment. They left feeling revitalised for the rest of the day.

DESCRIPTION:On November 28\, 2022\, the students from all sections of Class I attended the Assembly of Class I A\, which was held in the school auditorium in front of the Coordinator of Classes I and 2. \nThe following were the assembly’s learning goals: \n\nTo provide the students a chance to improve their presentation and public speaking abilities.\nTo foster a culture of productive teamwork and peer engagement among the students.\nTo give kids a platform on which to display their individual abilities and skills.\nTo inspire students to consider what they learned in class.\n\nThe assembly’s primary activities and proceedings were as follows: \n\nMorning Prayer: Before the assembly began\, the emcees welcomed the attendees and called on the class choir to lead the prayer\, “Sangachadwam Samvadadwam.” Aadvik Kandpal’s daily reflection on the theme was presented after the prayer.\n\n \n\nExercises: After learning the yoga movements Dhanurasana\, Vrikshasana\, and Bridge\, students performed them. These poses assist to strengthen the back\, maintain excellent posture\, and improve digestion and focus.\nClassroom lessons from the previous cycle: After this\, the students reflected on and shared what they had learned in many academic and co-curricular disciplines;\n\n            English Poem: The students comfortably discussed sentence structure and understanding while keeping in mind the norms of sentence formation in an English poem. \nA sentence should always begin with a capital letter \nEnd with a full stop\, and \nHave one finger’s worth of space between each word. \n           Hindi Kavita: “Manmoji Rail”  \nThe Hindi Kavita was recited by the class in unison and with enthusiasm. All of the audience members there enjoyed their presentation. \n \n           Math: The students’ next presentation was a thorough explanation of the idea of “Backward movement on the ENL” with the aid of props and audience-engaging suggestions. \nAll of the students gained from the experience. \n           Q&A session: After that\, there was a question-and-answer session when the audience asked the participants a few questions like- What is the meaning of the theme? Why do we adhere to rules for sentence construction? The fact that the participants themselves raised these concerns served to boost the kids’ sense of unity and confidence. \nThe national anthem was performed to bring the ceremony to a close. The event was a success\, and both the audience and the participants felt a sense of accomplishment. \nHosting the assembly was a special experience for the class IA kids.

SUMMARY:Class 5F Assembly Showcase
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, January 17\, 2023\, the assembly for class VF was held in the auditorium. Everyone in the class took part in it with fervor and excitement.  \nThe showcase was created with the intention of fostering participants’ confidence and oratory and leadership skills. The students collaborated to carry out their idea. The group prayed aloud to the God to ask for blessings and to thank him for a fresh day. \n \nThey engaged in well-being-promoting activities like yoga. The news\, weather report\, thought of the day\, and word of the day were then provided by four kids.  \nA skit titled “DECIMALS KI KATHA DHANSUKH RAM KI VYATHA” followed it. The discussion about the digestive system and good eating practises was next on the agenda. \nThe national anthem\, which was accompanied by a student playing the flute\, brought the performance to a close. They had a stage and a platform to demonstrate their skills and acquire confidence in themselves during the offline assembly.

SUMMARY:Celebration Of World Music Day By The Middle School- Euphony
DESCRIPTION:Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace\, abolishing strife. \nMartin Luther King once said\, “Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul. It is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us.” \nIn light of these beautiful thoughts\, on January 28\, 2023\, the Middle wing of The Khaitan School in NOIDA held its “Annual Music Festival\,” called Euphony. The festival\, a musical extravaganza with the goal of honoring our country’s legendary maestros\, was a resounding success. \nThe ceremonial lamp lighting by Madam Principal Ms Rina Singh\, Head of Senior School Mr. Sajeev Philip\, Head of Middle School Ms. Pooja Singh\, Head of Primary School Ms. Seema Khurana\, along with a few parents\, marked the start of the joyous afternoon. \nThe soulful recital of Namo Namo Bharatambe by Class VI kids inspired the audience to praise the nation and its splendour. No one has captured the essence of our Janani Janmabhumi—her physical beauty\, her people\, her history\, and—most importantly—her spiritual glory—better than Sri Nochur Venkataraman\, the author of this masterpiece. Each sentence stands alone as a gem. \n \nThe prayer from the Rig Veda that many of us have grown to appreciate from our retreats was then sang by a group of Class VII students. The Sangachadwam engaged and engulfed the audience in warmth as it issued a plea for everyone to congregate together\, speak together\, and for all thoughts to be in harmony. \n \nThe next note was a subtle blending of tones with a whimsical air of persuasion. The Orchestra performed a succession of tantalizing masterpieces as a tribute to the master of Indian Classical music\, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma\, while displaying a flawless Jugalbandi\, or fusion\, of Western and Indian instruments. The audience was enthralled by the impressive lineup of songs\, including Raag- Hans Dhwani (Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma)\, Saare Vatan ka Pyara (Original Composition)\, Kandhon se Milte Hain Kandhe (Patriotic Song)\, and Maa Tujhe Salaam (Patriotic Song)\, which were expertly played on the guitar\, keyboards\, tablas\, congos\, and xylophones. \n \nThe last Western Choir performed a mix of classic songs like “Learning to fly\,” “My Dreams\,” and “Heal the World” as a tribute to the country. The vocalists’ sweet vocals captivated the listeners and infused the air with hopes and ambitions for a better future. \nLast but not the least\, the Indian Choir\, made up of Class VIII students\, astounded the audience by singing A.R. Rahman and Smt. Lata Mangeshkar tunes. Through songs that spoke unity in diversity and highlighted the diverse culture by singing in more than one language\, they truly honored the spirit of patriotism. \nThis was followed by the captivating songs Sau raginiyo se saja Bharat Anokha raag hai (Tribute to the Nation)\, Jayatu Jayatu Bharatam (Patriotic Song)\, and Ae Mere Vatan ke Logon (Tribute to Smt. Lata Mangeshkar). \n \nAs soon as all the groups came together to perform the classic\, “Saare Jahan Se Acha\,” the stage was transformed into a kaleidoscope of different hues and colors. \nThese energetic performances by the Middle Wing’s musical mavens\, which received a lot of accolades and respect from both instructors and parents\, served as proof that music is\, in fact\, the divine way to convey beautiful\, lyrical things to the heart. \nParents’ Feedback (among many others) \n“Today’s program was a musical delight. The children performed extremely well. A thorough and expert hand and efforts of all the teachers was clearly visible. I especially liked this initiative because it inculcates the Indian values in our children through our music. All the children dressed in Indian ethnic wear was a great idea. SUMMARY:Music And Dance Festival- Euphoria
DESCRIPTION:On January 25\, 2023\, the Khaitan School NOIDA held its first-ever “Music and Dance Festival\,” entitled “Euphoria.” \nThis performance celebrated the “Confluence” of music and dance by showcasing numerous dance and music styles that seamlessly came together on one platform.. \nGoals Of The Festival- \n\nThe programme was designed to provide kids with a stage on which to display their abilities in front of their professors\, peers\, and families.\nThe programme allowed each participant the chance to learn how to work as a group/chorus to perform a dance/song\, which would help them develop important qualities like discipline\, organisation\, and teamwork.\n\nAround 150 students participated in the programme across all of the sequences. It featured a number of performances in several categories\, including various Indian vocal and dance acts and pop music from the west. This programme was designed to be the pinnacle of all the learning that the participating kids had accomplished in their classrooms while demonstrating the “Process Based Learning” methodology that our school adheres to and supports. \n \nThe programme started with the principal\, Ms. Rina Singh\, lighting the lamp\, accompanied by Mr. Sajeev Philip\, Ms. Pooja Singh\, and Ms. Seema Khurana\, as the first choir of the day performed “Harivarasanam and Madhava Mamava\,” a combination of the divine song “Harivarasanam\,” or Hari Haratmaka Ashtakam\, that is recited just before the closing of the temple doors at night as well as Madhava Mamava\, a classic carnatic hymns sung as a prayer to Lord Krishna. \nThe day’s comperes introduced “RHAPSODY\,” the first part of the programme\, following the lighting of the lamp. \nThe ‘evolution of pop music’ was the focus of this year’s “Rhapsody” subject for western music. The Western Choir and Rock Band led the audience on a journey that began with the most famous and iconic performer of all time\, “ELVIS PRESLEY\,” and followed the development of pop music over the course of the last seven decades\, featuring artists like the Beatles\, Queen\, Abba\, Michael Jackson\, Bryan Adams\, and the more contemporary Taylor Swift\, One Direction\, and Ed Sheeran\, among others. The rock group also got the crowd to sing along with them and do the famous STOMP STOMP CLAP dance move from the famous Queen song ‘We Will Rock You’. \nThe program’s second half\, which featured a fusion of different traditional and modern dance and music genres as well as Hindustani classical music\, was dubbed “Kalaangan.” Several dance and musical sequences were featured in this performance\, with themes including “Sangita-Ratnakara\,” which translates as “Ocean of Music and Dance” and is one of the most significant Indian musicological texts; “Shiv Mallari\,” a Bharatnatyam dance choreography for welcoming Lord Shiva’s procession with dancers singing his praise; and “Abhinaya\,” one of the chapters from “Natyashastra” that is further divided into 4 types: Aangika\, Vachika\, Aharya and Satvika Abhinaya and ‘Bhakti Rasa’. \nThe above-mentioned themes were musically represented by the Indian choir\, and the dance groups captured the dance elements. \n \nEvery member of the audience liked the energetic\, charismatic performances\, as was clear from the standing ovations each performer received at the conclusion of their presentations. \n \nAll the students from all the sequences came together to perform “Jagao Mere Des Ko\,” one of the most exquisitely written contemporary patriotic songs\, that Sir AR Rahman composed\, as the event’s grand finale. The National Anthem was played after a brief word of appreciation from the principal and a vote of thanks from Mr. Sajeev Philip.

SUMMARY:Class Assembly 3G- A Miscellany Of Delightful Events
DESCRIPTION:The morning sets the tone for the day\, and the assembly prepares the kids to renew their spirits\, stay grounded in moral principles\, and unleash their vitality. \nOn February 3rd\, 2023\, the 3G class assembly was held at the school’s auditorium. The audience for the event consisted of teachers and students from class 3. The attendance at the assembly was 100%. Every single student took part in the assembly with enthusiasm. They demonstrated their comprehension of the ideas covered in the academic and extracurricular lessons. A group of anchors welcomed everyone to the assembly. \n \nThe uplifting morning prayer “Sanghchalam” established the mood for the assembly and encouraged the students to have a productive and thoughtful day. A student gave the audience the day’s concept\, which was about “Empathy\,” from their SEEL session. Following that\, a few students gave lovely presentations on yoga poses that support leading a healthy life. Additionally\, a Hindi skit with the same concept as Bandarbanth was performed. The sight of students reading an English poetry about “The trains” was delightful. A few students then discussed the unique vehicles we utilize on a regular basis. \n \nThe class’s beautiful dancers performed a spirited rendition of the “Dandiya dance” on stage while decked out in vibrant costumes. One of the class’s pupils finally gave a review of a book on “Bookasura.” \n \nThe kids gave the gathering their entire attention and excitement. The national anthem was performed to bring the meeting to a close.

DESCRIPTION:If there is one field of life which teaches us the most valuable lessons about perseverance\, patience in fact what constitutes a perfect character\, it is sports. It is one of the major part of a student’s holistic growth. \nThe overall development of its students has always been a priority for the Khaitan school. Thus\, on February 4th\, Saturday\, the Khaitan school hosted the ANNUAL SPORTS DAY 2022–23. After a hiatus of two years due to the lingering fear of the COVID-19 pandemic\, the school organized one of its most signature events. The Sports Day embodies the zeal\, talents and spirit of sportsmanship of the students\,encouraging them to be persistent and to refine their talents\, achieving the greatest of heights. It was a great opportunity for students to engage in healthy competition and socialize with their peers while promoting physical activity and healthy living. \nThe students at Khaitan school participated in various athletic competitions and games such as track and field races\, relays\, Taekwondo drills\, and other sports.\, showcasing their physical abilities and sportsmanship. The Khaitan School’s annual sports day perfectly captures the school’s student’s’ enthusiasm\, talent\, and spirit of sportsmanship. They were thrilled to take part in the momentous occasion and worked hard to make it a success. \nDuring the opening ceremony\, which was presided over by Respected Principal Ma’am\, students displayed their marching abilities with a parade. The torch lighting ceremony was also carried out by Principal Ma’am\, and the torch was then passed to the school’s top athletes. \nAfter the opening ceremony \, various events were organized by the sports department of the school.  \n\nMarch past- One of the traditional parts of the Annual Sports Day\, the students participated in a parade\, led by a flag-bearer\,  to showcase their unity\, discipline\, and sportsmanship.A strong message of camaraderie and unity delivered by the march past\, recharged the audience.\nTug O’ War- It is an event which demands brute strength\, sheer endurance and excellent team coordination\, and was definitely the most anticipated event of the day. This event held between the teachers and the students\, enraptured the audience as the level of excitement drastically went up pull after pull. \nYoga Aakriti- In order to help students to improve their flexibility\, strength\, balance\, concentration\, reduce stress and anxiety\, the school incorporated Yoga as an event. A robust mind and a lively body is the fundamental requirement to live a long and happy life with message in mind\, the Yoga display of Classes III aimed to enlighten to the audience the merits of living a fit and healthy life. \nAthletic Events ( Obstacle Races \, Relay Race)- Students participated in events like obstacle race\, 100m & 200m race & relay races.In the obstacle race\, participants navigated various physical obstacles in order to complete the course. The students ran\, jumped\, climbed\, crawled and maneuver through various obstacles such as hurdles\, ropes\, walls\, and balance beams. The race was timed\, and students were judged based on factors such as speed\, agility\, and teamwork. It was a fun and challenging way for students to improve their physical fitness\, coordination\, and problem-solving skills. In the 200 m relay race\, a team of students took turns running a set distance\, passing a baton to their teammate\, until all team members completed the course. The team with the fastest overall time won.  \nTaekwondo drill- The next event\, titled\, ‘Stance n Strike’ by class lII – V \,was yet another compelling display of talent which stressed upon the need to assert oneself\, to break free from shackles and strengthen one’s power as the students’ taekwondo skills stole the show. It incorporated partner work\, self-defense techniques\, and breaking of boards or other objects to showcase the power and skill of the students that participated.\nMass demonstration ( sari drill )- The audience were in for a visual treat as the primary students of the campus\, that is\, grade IV-V students performed to rhythmic beats in a programme titled ‘Kolour Kaleidoscope’. \nZumba Dance- A smorgasbord of coordinated rhythmic performances by students of middle and senior school gave way to the adrenaline charged atmosphere. It provided an opportunity for participants to get active and enjoy themselves. It was a fun and energetic addition to the event and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. \n\nThe annual sports day was not just for students; faculty from the Khaitan School participated in a tug-of-war competition with the students and displayed the highest level of sportsmanship.  \nParents of students were also invited to attend and support the students. They enthusiastically participated in several events during the annual sports meet\, including the ball balancing race and the sponge ball race. This encouraged the Sports Department to hold more similar events in the future. \nThe athlete’s celebrations came next after these events. Prizes and awards are given out to the winners and runners-up. T he Principal and the school heads felicitated the rightful winners with medals and certificates of excellence. \n \n \nFollowing that\, the Vote of Thanks was proposed by the HOJS Mrs. Seema Khurana. The whole gathering with immense pride sang the National Anthem which marked the splendorous end of the day. \n \nOverall\, the day is meant to promote healthy competition\, teamwork\, and physical fitness\, while also providing a fun and engaging experience for everyone involved. It helped in fostering a sense of sportsmanship and team spirit among the participants and was a great success.

SUMMARY:Visit to National Gallery of Modern Art- Expanding Creative Horizons
DESCRIPTION:The Khaitan School’s Class VII A\, B\, and C students visited the National Gallery of Modern Art on February 7\, 2023\, with the assistance of Ms. Anjon Bose\, Ms. Srishti Parashar\, Ms. Deepa Thomas\, and Ms. Sarah Khan.  \nThe major goal of the trip was to learn more about the many forms of art as well as the nine jewels of Indian art and exploring the vibrant and diverse world of modern and contemporary Indian art.  This was  an opportunity for students to broaden their horizons\, learn about the world beyond their immediate surroundings and foster cross-cultural understanding. \nThe National Gallery of Modern Art is a premier art gallery in India that houses a vast collection of modern and contemporary Indian art. It is located in the heart of the capital city\, near India Gate. The gallery was established in 1954 and has since been a hub for promoting Indian art and culture. It boasts a vast collection of over 17\,000 artworks by both Indian and international artists. The collection includes paintings\, sculptures\, graphics\, photographs\, and installations\, among other forms of art. This premier art gallery in India is not only a showcase of the country’s rich cultural heritage but also a window into the creative minds of artists from around the world. \n \nThe diversity of art forms provides students with an opportunity to experience art in various mediums\, appreciate the skills and techniques involved in creating them\, and understand the context and message behind each piece. \n \nStudents were introduced to the museum guide and given information about the rules as soon as they entered. The gallery’s trained guides provided insights into the pieces on display\, the history of the artists\, and the cultural significance of their works.  \n \nTheir next assignment was to channel their inner artists & encourage experimentation by using charcoal and pencils to sketch a beautiful sculpture. \n \nIt was finally time for them to enter the Jaipur house after finishing their sketches\, where they learnt all about the many art forms and the nine gems of Indian art. \n  \nThe kids were welcomed by a sizable hall decorated with images of the nine priceless diamonds as soon as they arrived at the location. Each artist had a separate area of the building where their exquisite works of art were displayed. Abanindranath Tagore\, Jamini Roy\, Benode Bihari Mukherjee\, Ramkinkar Baij\, Amrita Sher-Gil\, Gaganendranath Tagore\, Sailoz Mukherjea\, Nicholas Roerich\, and Raja Ravi Varma are considered to be the nine diamonds of India. All of these artists had something in common: they each had a particular area of expertise in various creative genres. \n \nEach one of them was unique in their own way\, whether they created realistic paintings or stone sculptures. The students then saw a carefully prepared description of each artist in a film that was shown on the ceiling. \nThe instructive excursion had to end after watching the film and leaving the Jaipur home. After taking a few group pictures\, students boarded buses to return to school with fantastic memories. \nThe trip was quite interesting and educational overall. Students gained a lot of knowledge about various artistic mediums & learnt about different cultures.They gained a deeper appreciation of art\, and developed a critical eye for analyzing the meaning and symbolism behind the works of art. It was an enriching experience for the students.

SUMMARY:SAFER INTERNET DAY- Think before you click
DESCRIPTION:On “SAFER INTERNET DAY\,” the Primary Wing of TKS held a quick session that included a slogan-writing exercise to help kids understand how important it is to stay safe online. Students made connections between the new knowledge and their prior learning and experiences. They discussed their thoughts on how to use caution on the internet. \nThe PowerPoint made for this debate was then projected after the discussion. ” Together for a better internet” was the subject used to begin the class\, and students discussed their online interactions with their parents\, friends\, professors\, and other important people. Students also provided examples from their own lives to demonstrate how\, if proper measures are not taken\, a lot of awful things can happen online. The students understood the message to always keep their information private when using online platforms. \n \nStudents were taught the SMART rules—SAFE\, MEET\, ACCEPTING\, RELIABLE\, TELL—to help them avoid the common online problems. Students were urged to be internet courageous at the conclusion of the session\, meaning they should feel at ease approaching a reliable adult when they come across something dubious. \n \nThe students participated in the slogan-writing exercise that marked the end of the session with great energy and enthusiasm. With drawings and catchy slogans\, they attempted to convey their ideas and online awareness in this assignment.

SUMMARY:Class Assembly By The Students of IV-G
DESCRIPTION:Through the class assembly\, the IV-G students recognised the concepts and skills they had learned in the classroom. The Class IV G students enthusiastically planned the Class Assembly for February 13\, 2023. Every child had the chance to enter the spotlight and demonstrate how well they understood the ideas taught in both academic and extracurricular subjects. Teachers and students from Class 4 attended the gathering\, which was held in the A Block Amphitheater. \nThe Class assembly commenced with a short prayer- Sangchadwam which the students had learnt in their music lessons. The students then performed a welcoming dance called Ganesh Vandana to start off the assembly in gusto. Four kids recited a poem aloud. \n \nA chinese play\, which was the skit that came after it\, conveyed the lesson that everyone should respect one another’s skill\, follow the path of honesty\, and avoid trying to deceive people by making untrue promises. Following that\, the students demonstrated what they had learned while taking yoga classes. They demonstrated various yoga poses while encouraging the audience to exercise regularly to stay fit. Next up\, a group of students performed a lovely song they had learned in music class called We Shall Overcome. \n \nStudents performed dances as well. The National Anthem was performed as the gathering came to a close. For everyone there\, it was a rewarding and pleasurable experience. \n \nWhile conducting the assembly\, the children developed their confidence and communication skills. Students also reaffirmed the ideas taught in various sessions and described the steps they had taken to master new abilities in their classrooms. The significance of working together as a team and putting forth persistent effort to achieve the desired results was also understood by the students.

SUMMARY:Kahaniyon Ka Rangmanch- Dramatization of Stories
DESCRIPTION:As part of the learning activity\, students of all classes of class IV participated in ‘Kahaniyon Ka Rangamchan’ to inculcate the  ability to convert the story into a play. The main objective was to develop writing skills and creativity among the students. The activity was an important part of the unit plan itself. This process took place in two stages. \n \nIn the first phase\, the students were introduced to a story. After understanding the instructions of dialogue writing and stage decoration\, they were motivated to convert that story into a drama and write it. Three students from each class The candidates were selected. \n \nIn the second round\, the selected (24) students wrote a drama on their own by turning the story kept in the library into a play. They displayed excellent writing skills. Three students\, Harshita (IV-D)\, Varalika (IV-H)\, Prabhav (IV-F)\, were selected. This event was completed keeping in mind the criteria of success.

SUMMARY:Class Assembly of 5G- 'Faslon Ka Tyohar'
DESCRIPTION:On February 27\, 2023\, the 5G class assembly was held in the amphitheater. \nThe following were the learning objectives for the assembly:  \n\nTo reflect on and demonstrate their classroom learning.\nTo foster a sense of community and camaraderie among the kids.\nTo develop public speaking abilities.\nTo provide kids with a platform for expression and performance.\n\n  \nAnwesha Varshney and Hridhan Dikshit enthusiastically and confidently coordinated the gathering. The gathering got underway with a prayer in which everyone pledged to work as a team\, asked for blessings\, and expressed gratitude for a new day. Little Yoga Warriors engaged in well-being-promoting activities like a spectrum of yoga poses. ‘Faslon Ke Tyohar’ was the assembly’s theme. \n \nAnika and Shubhangi also demonstrated how to make homemade starch from rice water. Students then recited a poem in Hindi with the theme of “Faslon Ke Tyohar” after this. In addition\, students celebrated the nation’s regional festivals by dancing beautifully on SARASWATI VANDANA. Yahvi and Naitik led the Changpa Community Quiz following the dancing performance.  \n \nFew questions were posed to the participants as the students participated enthusiastically in the quiz. The class 5G students responded to these inquiries with confidence and expertise. The playing of the national anthem brought the assembly to a close. All of the pupils had the chance to take part\, communicate\, and demonstrate their understanding. They took delight in participating and displaying their skills and conceptual understanding across scholastic and co scholastic disciplines.
