Chemistry Lab Assistant (Classes 9-12)

Job Description –

1. Provide assistance during practical classes by preparing apparatus and equipment in advance.
2. Provide hands-on support to students during experiments, ensuring safety and proper use of materials.
3. Prepare and organize the lab for practical examinations (Classes IX to XII).
4. Coordinate with subject teachers to ensure smooth execution of practical exams as per CBSE guidelines.
5. Ensure availability and readiness of materials, chemicals, and instruments required for classes and exams.
6. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all chemicals, glassware, instruments, and other lab supplies.
7. Track usage and consumption of chemicals and lab resources; update stock registers regularly.
8. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals as per safety norms.
9. Ensure compliance with all CBSE and school safety standards and protocols.
10. Participate in science exhibitions, school events, and any other academic activities related to Chemistry.
11. Support the school in any other administrative work related to lab infrastructure and operations.

Candidate Profile –

1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc. Chemistry or higher preferred).
2. Prior experience in laboratory management in an educational setting
3. Familiarity with CBSE Chemistry curriculum is preferred.
4. Good organizational and multitasking skills.
5. Strong understanding of lab safety procedures and handling of chemicals.
6. Basic knowledge of budgeting and procurement processes
