The Khaitan School, Noida, successfully conducted a Career Counselling Workshop for Teachers with the objective of equipping educators with the knowledge and resources to guide students in making informed decisions about their future. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Akshaiy Srivastav and Ms. Bhavika, experienced counsellors from the Centre for Career Development.

The session emphasized the crucial role teachers play as career mentors, offering them insights into both traditional and emerging opportunities across diverse fields. Participants explored pathways in Science, Commerce, Arts, and vocational streams, alongside discussions on new-age careers such as Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Liberal Arts, and Entrepreneurship.

A key highlight of the workshop was a detailed overview of international education opportunities. The facilitators explained the processes for applying to universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany, including the importance of entrance exams like the SAT, ACT, IELTS, and TOEFL. They also provided guidance on crafting strong Statements of Purpose (SOPs), securing impactful letters of recommendation, and maintaining accurate academic transcripts.

The session further shed light on various scholarship avenues available for Indian students, covering merit-based, need-based, and country-specific scholarships that help reduce financial barriers for deserving candidates.
The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where teachers raised real-life concerns and received practical strategies for effective student counselling. To ensure sustained support, the facilitators shared useful handouts, online tools, and follow-up resources.

The event proved to be an enriching experience, reinforcing the school’s commitment to preparing educators who can empower students to navigate an ever-evolving academic and professional landscape with clarity and confidence.
