On 26th September 2025, The Khaitan School organized an important Cervical Cancer Awareness Workshop for the senior wing staff members. The session was led by Dr. Neha Raj, a renowned medical professional recognized for her expertise in women’s health and preventive oncology.

The objective of the workshop was to raise awareness about cervical cancer and its impact on women’s health, while educating participants on risk factors, symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of early detection. The program also aimed to empower educators with accurate knowledge so they could further promote awareness within their communities.


Dr. Neha Raj delivered a comprehensive and engaging presentation covering the definition, global and national statistics, and the pressing relevance of cervical cancer in today’s health landscape. She explained the major causes and risk factors including Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection, lifestyle factors, and genetic predisposition. Participants were also informed about common symptoms, disease progression, and the significance of timely diagnosis.

A special emphasis was laid on the role of HPV vaccination, regular Pap smear tests, and maintaining reproductive health in preventing cervical cancer. Dr. Raj also shared an overview of the medical and surgical interventions available at different stages of the disease.
The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants asked pertinent questions and clarified myths and misconceptions surrounding cervical cancer. The session proved to be highly informative, creating awareness and empowering staff members with practical knowledge to safeguard their own health and encourage preventive care in the wider community.
