Dynamic Parent-Teacher Conference with Engaging Initiatives

The Khaitan School recently held an impactful Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) for classes IX to XII, focusing on students’ academic progress and personal development. This comprehensive event provided a platform for parents and teachers to engage in meaningful discussions about students’ growth while showcasing various school initiatives, including the much-anticipated Vigyanthon 3.0 (Science Exhibition), Breathing Space 3.0 (Art Exhibition), a Stream Selection Workshop, an Eye Checkup Camp, and community outreach activities.

Vigyanthon 3.0: A Celebration of Scientific Innovation

Students from classes IX to XII showcased their enthusiasm and creativity at Vigyanthon 3.0, the annual science exhibition. This year’s exhibition featured a wide array of innovative models and experiments, highlighting students’ ability to tackle real-life problems. Projects focused on crucial issues such as energy production, pollution control, and health concerns. A particularly interactive aspect of the exhibition included blood tests for visitors, offering haemoglobin and sugar level tests that garnered positive feedback from parents.

Breathing Space 3.0: Artistic Expression on Display

The Breathing Space 3.0 art exhibition transformed the school grounds and C-Block corridors into a vibrant gallery, showcasing the creative talents of senior students. Utilizing various mediums such as colored pencils, watercolors, acrylics, and charcoal, students created stunning posters, paintings, and canvas art. Many pieces were crafted from waste materials, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and innovative artistic expression. The exhibition allowed students to share their unique perspectives and fostered a sense of pride within the school community.

Stream Selection Workshop: Guiding Future Pathways

A pivotal component of the conference was the Stream Selection Workshop, conducted by Mr. Rajesh Mishra. This session provided invaluable insights for Class X students and their parents, focusing on the importance of thoughtful decision-making in choosing subjects that align with future career aspirations. Mr. Mishra explored various career paths and emerging trends, encouraging participants to consider their options carefully. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing parents and students to address their specific concerns.

Eye Checkup Camp: Prioritizing Health and Well-being

In collaboration with Rotary Club Noida and Tirupati Eye Centre, the Khaitan School organized a free eye checkup camp in the Senior School Clinic. Under the supervision of Dr. Mohita Sharma, President of Rotary Club Noida, parents, students, teachers, and staff received comprehensive eye exams. Recommendations for further treatment were provided where necessary, and the valuable support of Interact Club volunteers in facilitating the camp was greatly appreciated.

Community Outreach and Fundraising: Making a Difference

The Interact and Outreach Clubs also spearheaded a community outreach initiative by setting up a ‘Diwali Haat’ to support Bhavishya NGO and Joint Women Programme (JWP) NGO. This stall featured handcrafted items such as utility pouches, decorated diyas, and bookmarks made by underprivileged children as part of their skill development program. The event was a resounding success, raising Rs 5,810 for the NGOs, and exemplifying the school’s commitment to social responsibility and community support.

The Parent-Teacher Conference at Khaitan School was not just an opportunity for academic discussions; it was a celebration of creativity, health awareness, and community spirit. By engaging parents and students in such diverse initiatives, the school reinforced its commitment to holistic education and the development of socially responsible citizens.
