The Khaitan School recently organized its much-awaited Middle School Inter-House Spell Bee Competition on 7th August 2025, a platform designed to sharpen students’ vocabulary, spelling accuracy, and presence of mind. The event brimmed with enthusiasm as students from the four houses – Meghalaya, Shiwalik, Nilgiri, and Aravali – battled it out with confidence and flair.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Rachna Bhasin, Senior Wing English HOD, and Ms. Preeti Gambhir, Curriculum Coordinator, whose encouraging presence added zeal to the competition.
The contest featured multiple intellectually stimulating rounds, including rapid-fire spelling, word origins, and sentence usage, each pushing participants to think quickly and precisely. The audience was captivated as students showcased their linguistic prowess, quick reflexes, and remarkable composure under pressure.
Every house delivered an outstanding performance, making it a tightly contested event. After an exciting finale, Meghalaya House emerged as the champions, while Shiwalik House and Nilgiri House secured the next spots, proving that every team’s preparation and determination were commendable.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Rachna Bhasin applauded the students for their dedication, reminding them that the true spirit of competitions lies not just in winning but in continuous learning and self-improvement. Ms. Preeti Gambhir further inspired the participants, encouraging them to nurture a lifelong love for reading and language.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and resounding applause for all participants. The Spell Bee not only celebrated the art of language but also left the young learners motivated to embrace challenges with enthusiasm, confidence, and a spirit of collaboration.
