The Environment and Gardening Programme students of The Khaitan School, Noida organised a meaningful Plantation Drive titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” on 8th August 2025 within the school premises. The initiative was conducted under the enthusiastic guidance of the Principal, Mr. Sajeev P. Paruvanani, the Head of Senior School, Ms. Anjana Vashishtha, and the dedicated teachers-in-charge.

The drive was designed to spread awareness about environmental conservation and instill a strong sense of responsibility towards nature among students. The theme, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, beautifully underscored the values of love, care, and nurturing—qualities shared by both mothers and trees. By dedicating each tree to their mothers, students celebrated this symbolic connection.

The young environmentalists participated actively, planting a variety of saplings, including Mango and Guava trees. Teachers guided and inspired them by emphasizing the vital role trees play in maintaining ecological balance, purifying air, and combating climate change.
