A workshop on Career Counselling for Teachers was successfully conducted on 1st August 2025, with the objective of equipping educators with the right tools and knowledge to guide students effectively in their career journeys after Class XII. The workshop, facilitated by Mr. Akshaiy Srivastav and Ms. Bhavika from the Centre for Career Development, highlighted both national and international opportunities available for learners in today’s rapidly evolving world.
The session commenced with an overview of traditional and non-traditional career options across Science, Commerce, Arts, and vocational streams. Teachers were introduced to new-age career domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Liberal Arts, and Entrepreneurship, broadening their perspective on the opportunities awaiting students.

A dedicated segment addressed international study pathways in countries including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany. The facilitators explained the admission processes, essential entrance exams like SAT, ACT, IELTS, and TOEFL, and the role of supporting documents such as SOPs, letters of recommendation, and academic transcripts.
The workshop also shed light on scholarship opportunities, covering merit-based, need-based, and country-specific avenues for Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where teachers shared real-life counselling challenges and received practical solutions. To ensure continuity, participants were provided with useful handouts, digital tools, and resources for future reference.
The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, empowering teachers to serve not only as educators but also as career mentors, guiding students towards well-informed and meaningful career choices.
