“Books are our best friends” — with this spirit, the ECCE children of The Khaitan School, Noida celebrated Book Week, an exciting and enriching event that immersed them in the magical world of stories and imagination.
The week-long celebration was filled with fun, creative, and engaging activities designed to encourage young learners to explore books, develop a lifelong love for reading, and let their imagination soar.
The festivities began with an introduction to Book Week, where children were introduced to renowned children’s authors and their timeless works. As a special highlight, Eric Carle was chosen as the focus author for this year’s celebration.
Throughout the week, students enjoyed a variety of hands-on and interactive activities inspired by Eric Carle’s stories. Teachers read aloud his much-loved classics including The Very Busy Spider, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, A House for Hermit Crab, Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me, and The Mixed-Up Chameleon.
Each story session not only ignited curiosity but also offered children the chance to engage in creative exercises that enhanced their comprehension, imagination, and expression.
The Book Week celebration proved to be a delightful experience, fostering in the little ones an appreciation for books and storytelling — a habit that will continue to enrich their learning journey.
