The Khaitan School, Noida, organized a career counselling session for the students of Class XII (Humanities) and Class XI (Commerce and Humanities). The session was led by Mr. Alok Kumar, Counselling and Growth Head at Toprankers, a reputed career guidance platform with a strong presence in Noida and Delhi.
The session aimed to sensitize students about the wide spectrum of career opportunities available through competitive examinations such as Law entrance tests, IPM (Integrated Program in Management), and CUET (Common University Entrance Test).
Mr. Kumar provided deep insights into the scope of legal education in India, explaining the structure of prominent law entrance exams and their career prospects. He elaborated on professional pathways in corporate law, litigation, judiciary, and public policy, emphasizing how students from commerce and humanities streams are well-suited for this field.
The session also highlighted the growing popularity of Integrated Programs in Management (IPM) at institutions like IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak, and others. Mr. Kumar discussed the IPMAT exam format, preparation strategies, and the distinct advantage of pursuing a combined undergraduate and postgraduate program in management from premier institutions.
Moving forward, Mr. Kumar shed light on the importance of CUET in securing admissions to top central universities such as Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University. He explained the exam structure, subject combinations, and shared practical strategies for aligning CUET preparation with school academics.
The session was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically engaging, asking thoughtful questions, and seeking clarity on eligibility, preparation timelines, coaching resources, and effective study balance between schoolwork and competitive exams.
