TKS Strengthens Inclusivity Through Comprehensive Dyslexia Awareness Sessions Across Middle and Senior School

The Khaitan School continues to champion empathy, understanding, and inclusivity through a series of Dyslexia Awareness Sessions conducted across both the Middle School (Classes VI–VIII) and Senior School. These sessions aimed to deepen students’ understanding of learning differences and encourage a school culture where every learner feels respected and supported.

Led by the school’s dedicated Inclusivity Ambassadors, the initiative successfully combined thoughtful presentations, meaningful discussions, and engaging multimedia tools to create a powerful learning experience for students of all age groups.

Middle School Sessions (Classes VI–VIII)

The Middle School sessions focused on helping young learners understand:

  • What dyslexia is

  • How it impacts reading, writing, and learning

  • Why empathy and support are essential for students with learning differences

The Inclusivity Ambassadors explained concepts through relatable examples, interactive discussions, and clear visual presentations. Students were encouraged to look beyond labels and recognise the unique strengths, creativity, and potential of individuals with dyslexia.

Senior students took part in insightful discussions, reflecting on how they can contribute to a more inclusive school community. The session reinforced the message that acceptance, understanding, and informed awareness are key to ensuring equitable opportunities for all learners.
