A comprehensive professional development workshop was conducted for the senior school staff of The Khaitan School on 21st November 2025, led by renowned career guidance expert Mr. Jitin Chawla. Centered around the theme “Knowledge Knockout: Engaging Teachers in Career Guidance,” the workshop aimed to equip teachers with updated insights, practical strategies, and technological tools to better support students in navigating their academic and career pathways.

Mr. Chawla opened the session by highlighting the rapidly evolving career landscape and reinforced the crucial role teachers play as early influencers in a student’s decision-making journey. He emphasized that timely information, structured guidance, and meaningful engagement can strengthen students’ aspirations, confidence, and clarity regarding future opportunities

One of the key features of the workshop was a series of teacher-led presentations based on topics assigned in advance. Notable sessions included:
Study Abroad vs. Study in India – Teachers presented a comparative analysis of educational opportunities across both routes, touching upon academic exposure, financial implications, cultural advantages, and long-term career prospects.
AI Tools in Career Profiling – The staff discussed emerging artificial intelligence tools that assist in analysing student profiles, identifying strengths, and providing personalized career suggestions.
Strategies for Career Awareness and Engagement – Interactive strategies such as classroom conversations, card-sorting activities, live demonstrations, and myth-busting sessions were shared to enhance career readiness among students.

Adding to the learning experience, Mr. Reeturaj Goswami introduced an innovative online career guidance platform that enables teachers to explore, compare, and streamline career options for students. His live demonstration helped teachers navigate the platform, understand its features, and visualize its application in everyday guidance.

The audience, especially the young children, watched the performances with great interest and delight. The Gurpurab assembly was truly a memorable success, reflecting the students’ confidence, grace, and budding talents. It served not only as a celebration of faith but also as a gentle reminder of the universal values that Guru Nanak Dev Ji stood for.

Overall, the workshop was insightful, interactive, and aligned with the school’s mission to strengthen career guidance for its learners. The expertise shared by Mr. Jitin Chawla, combined with hands-on training under Mr. Goswami, provided teachers with valuable tools to enhance student engagement and support informed decision-making for the future.
