The Khaitan School, Noida, proudly hosted the Second Edition of its Model United Nations (MUN) Conference 2025, a two-day extravaganza that brought together young minds to deliberate, debate, and design solutions for pressing global and national issues.
The event commenced with a vibrant Opening Ceremony that celebrated India’s cultural heritage under the guidance of Principal Mr. Sajeev P. Paruvanani and the Heads of School. The soulful rendition of an Indian classical song, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, set the tone of wisdom and enlightenment. A graceful dance performance by the students added rhythm and color, perfectly capturing the spirit of the occasion.
In his address, the Secretary-General welcomed all delegates, underscoring the power of dialogue, diplomacy, and youth leadership in shaping a better, more inclusive world.

Delegates then proceeded to their respective committees, where they engaged in rigorous deliberations marked by research, realism, and creativity:
UNGA: Weaponization of Trade and Technology in Global Power Rivalries, chaired by Maurya Chopra and Urvi Vaccher, encouraged nuanced debates on geopolitics.UNHRC: Cultural Genocide and the Rights of Indigenous People, guided by Krishna Thakur and Garv Kapoor, emphasized empathy and justice.
UN Women: Cultural Relativism vs. Universal Women’s Rights, led by Simran Sehgal and Adarsh Pratap Singh, highlighted diversity and gender equity.
Lok Sabha: Inter-State and Transboundary River Water Conflicts with reference to the Indus Waters Treaty and Brahmaputra River, presided over by Kartik Deshwal and Jyoti Bhardwaj, recreated the intensity of parliamentary debate.
UNEA: Fast Fashion vs. Sustainable Alternatives, chaired by Janya Arora and Pranika Sharma, focused on climate action and sustainability.
IPL Committee: Match-Fixing and Illegal Sports Betting, adjudicated by Tejasvi Singh Bhadauria and Naman Sharma, tackled integrity in sports.
Harry Potter Committee: Fast Fashion vs. Sustainable Fashion, judged by Madhav Kasana and Sanvi Verma, blended magical creativity with real-world issues.
GADRK (The Future of Magic): Empowering New Heroes and Heroines, chaired by Mayuka Wali and Shreyoshi Paul, encouraged inclusivity and imaginative leadership.
Delegates were provided with nutritious meals, ensuring energy and enthusiasm carried through each discussion.

Closing Ceremony: Creativity Meets Recognition
Day Two culminated in an electrifying Closing Ceremony, featuring vibrant performances — a high-energy rock band showcase and a captivating beatboxing act that celebrated youth creativity.
The much-awaited Awards Distribution Ceremony honored outstanding delegates, Executive Board members, and the Secretariat team. The Most Proficient Delegation Award was proudly presented to Somerville School, Greater Noida.
The conference concluded with an inspiring address by the Deputy Secretary-General, who encouraged delegates to carry forward the values of collaboration, finesse, and innovation into their future endeavors.
