In observance of World Mental Health Day, The Khaitan School organized a special wellness workshop titled “Stress Management and the Role of Ayurveda in Enhancing Well-being” on 17th October 2025 for the senior school staff members. The session was conducted by Dr. Piyush Juneja, a distinguished Ayurvedic physician and wellness expert, who shared invaluable insights on achieving mental balance and holistic health through the principles of Ayurveda.
Dr. Juneja began the session by addressing the growing mental health challenges in today’s fast-paced world, particularly those faced by educators. He highlighted the various stressors that impact teachers’ emotional well-being and productivity, emphasizing the importance of proactive self-care and balance.
Through his engaging presentation, Dr. Juneja explained how Ayurveda’s mind-body-soul approach offers effective strategies to reduce stress, enhance clarity, and restore inner harmony. He elaborated on how imbalances in the body’s doshas can lead to emotional and psychological distress, and demonstrated simple yet powerful ways to correct them through lifestyle modifications.
Participants learned practical Ayurvedic techniques including:
Diet and herbal support for calming the mind
Daily routines (Dinacharya) for emotional resilience
Importance of quality sleep, physical activity, and meditation
The interactive Q&A session that followed allowed staff members to share personal experiences and seek practical advice from Dr. Juneja, making the workshop both insightful and relatable.
The event successfully marked the celebration of World Mental Health Day by reinforcing the importance of mental well-being among educators. It served as a gentle reminder that nurturing inner balance and adopting holistic practices can play a transformative role in managing stress and enhancing overall wellness.
