The students of Grade 3H presented an engaging and inspiring special assembly at the School Auditorium on the theme “Perseverance – Keep Trying, Even When It’s Tricky!” Through a delightful blend of humour, music, poetry and reflection, the young presenters shared an important message about resilience, courage and the value of learning from mistakes.
The assembly was hosted by Shivaanya and Daiwik, who warmly welcomed the Head of Primary School, teachers and fellow students. Introducing the theme, the young hosts used lighthearted and relatable anecdotes about their own experiences with failure—from tripping over a jump rope to drawing a circle that resembled a “grumpy potato.” Their cheerful examples helped students understand that making mistakes is a natural part of learning. They beautifully described perseverance as having a “Never-Give-Up engine inside your heart.”
The programme began with a serene morning prayer, as the hosts invited everyone to join hands and close their eyes for a moment of quiet reflection. The peaceful beginning set a positive tone for the rest of the assembly.
The prayer was followed by a soulful Hindi song celebrating bravery, inner strength and courage. The inspiring performance filled the auditorium with energy and encouraged the audience to face challenges with confidence and determination.
Adding to the lively spirit of the programme, students of Grade 3 presented a vibrant poem recitation based on the timeless wisdom of “Slow and steady wins the race.” Through their expressive performance, they reinforced the message that consistent effort, patience and determination are key ingredients for achieving success.
The assembly also featured a powerful Thought for the Day, which left the young audience with an important lesson:
“Mistakes are proof that you are TRYING.”
The message encouraged students to look at mistakes not as failures, but as opportunities to learn, improve and grow.
The assembly concluded on an uplifting note as Shivaanya and Daiwik reminded everyone not to be discouraged by setbacks and to see every mistake as evidence of a growing and learning mind. They ended by wishing everyone a “Don’t-Stop-Until-You’re-Proud” day, leaving the audience inspired, confident and filled with positive energy.
The Grade 3H assembly was a wonderful reminder that perseverance is not about never facing difficulties—it is about continuing to try, learning from every setback and moving forward with courage and confidence.
