To foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, a workshop on “Bully to Buddy” was conducted for the students of Class IX on 19th May. The session was led by Ms. Bhakti Kataria, an Expressive Arts Therapist and Counseling Psychologist from Fortis Hospital, who brought valuable insights and practical guidance to the students.
The workshop aimed to create awareness about bullying, its various forms, and the harmful impact it can have on individuals and the school community. Through engaging discussions, Ms. Kataria helped students understand the importance of kindness, empathy, mutual respect, and responsible behaviour in their daily interactions. She also guided them on identifying bullying situations and responding to them with confidence, sensitivity, and responsibility.
The session was highly interactive and encouraged active participation from the students. They enthusiastically shared their experiences, expressed their views, and asked thoughtful questions. Real-life examples, reflective activities, and meaningful conversations made the workshop both informative and impactful.
The workshop served as an enriching experience, empowering students to become more compassionate and supportive peers. It reinforced the significance of friendship, positive communication, and empathy in creating a nurturing school environment where every student feels valued, respected, and safe.
Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping socially responsible individuals and strengthening the culture of care and inclusivity within the school community.
