The Khaitan School, Noida, organised an Aptitude Testing and Career Counselling Programme for Class X students and their parents to help them make informed decisions about stream selection for Class XI. The initiative focused on understanding students’ individual strengths, interests, abilities, and potential to guide them towards suitable academic and career pathways.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Jyotsna Bhardwaj, Founder Director of Envision India Eduservices, Consulting Psychologist, Career Counsellor, CBSE Master Trainer, and Visiting Faculty at IDGC, NCERT, along with her team of counsellors.
The programme began on 5 October 2026 with an online sensitisation session for parents. The session highlighted the importance of aptitude assessment and explained how understanding a child’s interests and abilities can support appropriate academic choices. Parents were encouraged to consider their children’s individual inclinations rather than relying solely on academic performance or external expectations.
On 7 October 2026, students undertook an online Psychometric Test of Aptitude and Interest. The assessment was designed to provide insights into their abilities, preferences, and areas of potential, offering a foundation for further academic and career exploration.
The programme continued with individual counselling sessions on 14, 15, and 16 October 2026. During these sessions, Ms. Jyotsna Bhardwaj and her team explained the assessment reports to students and parents, helping them understand the findings and explore suitable academic options for Class XI. These personalised discussions also allowed families to ask questions, clarify doubts, and consider future pathways with greater confidence.
The sessions received an appreciative response from parents, who valued the opportunity to understand their children’s strengths and interests through a structured assessment. The individual guidance helped families approach stream selection with greater clarity and make decisions based on their children’s abilities, aspirations, and potential.
