The Khaitan School organised an engaging Sanskrit Role Play Activity for Grade 6 on 13th August 2026, providing students with a creative platform to strengthen their conversational skills and bring fascinating characters from ancient Indian history to life.
The activity aimed to move beyond the traditional perception of Sanskrit as a purely theoretical language. By incorporating dialogue, character portrayal and performance, students experienced Sanskrit as a vibrant and expressive means of communication.
The students enthusiastically stepped into the roles of historical characters, dressing appropriately and delivering their dialogues with confidence and accurate linguistic expression. Their performances beautifully combined artistic presentation, language proficiency and historical imagination, making the learning experience both meaningful and enjoyable.
The activity also encouraged students to develop their communication skills, confidence, pronunciation and stage presence, while deepening their appreciation for India’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage.
The seamless performances were highly appreciated by HOMS Mr. Sachin Sharma and CC Ms. Preeti Gambhir, who admired the students’ flair, enthusiasm and conviction. Their confident portrayals and spirited performances made the event a delightful experience for everyone present.
The Sanskrit Role Play Activity was a wonderful example of experiential learning, demonstrating that language learning can be engaging, interactive and memorable. It was indeed a delight to watch the students perform and witness Sanskrit come alive through their creativity and enthusiasm.
