Coffee at School: Strengthening Partnerships Through Learning

The school successfully hosted the first Coffee at School event of the session on Saturday, 11th April 2026, organized by the Middle School Social Science Department. The initiative was thoughtfully designed to create a warm and engaging space for meaningful interaction between parents and educators, reinforcing the shared goal of nurturing well-rounded learners.

The session centered on equipping parents with valuable insights and practical strategies to support their children’s learning in Social Science. Teachers provided a comprehensive overview of how students develop conceptual understanding, highlighting the importance of skill development, inquiry-based learning, and connecting classroom knowledge with real-life contexts. This approach emphasized that Social Science is not just about memorization, but about fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and awareness of the world around us.

One of the most engaging aspects of the session was the hands-on participation of parents. They actively took part in interactive activities focused on Latitudes and Major Landforms, experiencing first-hand the dynamic teaching methodologies used in the classroom. This immersive experience enabled parents to better appreciate how concepts are introduced, explored, and reinforced among students in an engaging and meaningful manner.

The event also provided an open and welcoming platform for parents to share their thoughts, raise queries, and offer feedback. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with parents expressing appreciation for the school’s innovative approach, clarity in teaching, and the opportunity to be directly involved in their child’s educational journey.

The Coffee at School session was a resounding success. It not only strengthened the partnership between school and home but also set a promising tone for continued collaboration, ensuring that students receive consistent support both inside and outside the classroom.
