The Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) for Classes VI to VIII was successfully conducted on 11th October 2025 at The Khaitan School, marking yet another step in the school’s ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration between parents and educators. The conference witnessed an impressive 70% attendance from parents, reflecting their deep involvement in their children’s educational journey.

The meeting served as a valuable platform for constructive dialogue between parents and teachers, allowing them to review students’ academic performance, behavioral development, and co-curricular engagement. Teachers shared detailed feedback on students’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement, ensuring that every parent left with clear insights and action points for further growth.

 

Adding to the educational value of the day, the school also organized a workshop for parents on the Curriculum of Art Education, helping them understand the role of creativity and visual learning in the holistic development of their children.

Hunar Programme Stall Exhibition: A Celebration of Talent and Purpose

Simultaneously, a vibrant Hunar Programme Stall Exhibition was held, showcasing the creativity, innovation, and social responsibility of the students. The exhibition featured a diverse range of stalls and hands-on displays from different Hunar groups, each reflecting a unique area of learning:

 

  • Chef-o-mania: Students displayed their culinary expertise by preparing delectable items such as Nachos Corn Chaat, Ice Tea, Sweet Corn, Veg Sandwich, and Mojito, delighting attendees with their skills and presentation.

  • Dharohar: This group celebrated India’s cultural heritage by presenting intricate 3D models of monuments, connecting art with history and instilling pride in the nation’s rich traditions.

  • Eco Warriors: Promoting sustainability, students created beautiful and useful products from waste materials, including pen stands, wall hangings, and plant pots—highlighting the spirit of recycling and eco-consciousness.

  • Book Stall: A dedicated space was set up for book lovers, featuring a wide range of titles across genres and age groups. The stall encouraged reading habits among students and parents alike, and was enthusiastically received by visitors.

 

In alignment with the vision of “Vocal for Local,” a special section showcased handcrafted pottery and decorative items made by local artisans. This initiative not only supported local craftsmanship but also encouraged students to appreciate India’s traditional art forms.

Science and Gardening Exhibitions

The Science Exhibition saw active participation from over 120 students, who displayed innovative models and experiments that demonstrated core scientific concepts. This hands-on learning opportunity allowed students to combine curiosity with creativity.

 

Similarly, the Gardening display offered students a chance to showcase their projects, highlighting plant growth, harvests, and sustainability practices. This initiative extended classroom learning into real-world environmental action.

Community Outreach and Fundraising

 

A key highlight of the day was the Community Outreach initiative, which included blood donation and eye check-up camps alongside the fundraising stalls. Items produced by students were sold at minimal prices, and the enthusiastic response from parents helped generate funds to support the school’s outreach programme, benefiting underprivileged communities in the outskirts.
