The Khaitan School organised a thoughtful and engaging Class Assembly for Grade 4H on 29 April 2026, centred on the theme “Labour Day.” The assembly aimed to help students understand the dignity of labour, appreciate the contributions of workers and recognise the importance of treating every individual with respect.

The assembly began with a peaceful prayer, creating a calm and positive atmosphere for the proceedings. This was followed by the Thought for the Day, which highlighted the value of hard work and reinforced the message that every profession deserves dignity and respect.
The students then shared the significance of Labour Day, drawing attention to the dedication, perseverance and valuable contributions of workers in our daily lives. Their presentation encouraged everyone to acknowledge the efforts of people whose work often goes unnoticed but remains essential to the smooth functioning of society.

One of the highlights of the assembly was an engaging Nukkad Natak (street play) that conveyed the message of equality, appreciation and respect for all forms of work. Through their performances, the students effectively highlighted the importance of looking beyond job titles and recognising the dignity of every profession.
Adding a musical touch to the occasion, the students presented a melodious song dedicated to Labour Day. The performance expressed gratitude towards workers and beautifully reinforced the spirit of appreciation. This was followed by a meaningful pledge in which students committed themselves to respecting all forms of work and valuing the efforts of those who contribute to society.

The assembly concluded with a brief reflection session, during which students shared their key learnings and thoughts on the importance of Labour Day. This interactive segment allowed them to reflect on the message of the assembly and understand how respect, gratitude and equality can be practised in everyday life.
Overall, the Labour Day Class Assembly by Grade 4H was an enriching and purposeful learning experience. Through prayer, presentations, a street play, music and reflection, the students conveyed an important message: every job has dignity, every contribution matters, and every worker deserves respect. The assembly reflected The Khaitan School’s commitment to nurturing responsible, empathetic and socially aware learners who appreciate the value of hard work and recognise the contributions of every individual.
