Providing students with opportunities to explore the world beyond the classroom is an important part of preparing them for the future. In keeping with this vision, four students from Class XI of The Khaitan School, Noida, participated in the Indo-Japan School Alliance – One-Day Student Internship & Factory Visit at PILOT PEN India, Manesar, on September 29, 2026. The students were accompanied by Mr. Amit Mendiratta, Career Counsellor.

The visit offered students first-hand exposure to a professional manufacturing environment and helped them understand how everyday products are developed through a combination of technology, precision, and teamwork. It also provided an opportunity to observe the practical application of concepts they learn in the classroom.

During the factory visit, students explored the various machines, equipment, and processes involved in manufacturing, assembly, and quality control. The PILOT PEN team explained how the machinery operates and highlighted the importance of maintaining precision, following safety procedures, and ensuring quality at every stage of production.

Students also gained insights into the systematic process through which raw materials are transformed into finished products. They learnt how different teams work together, how technology supports efficient manufacturing, and why attention to detail is essential in maintaining product standards. These observations helped them appreciate the planning, coordination, and technical expertise required to run a modern manufacturing facility.

An important aspect of the experience was the interaction with industry professionals. Through these exchanges, students developed a better understanding of workplace practices, manufacturing operations, and the skills needed to succeed in the industrial sector. The visit also encouraged them to think about future career possibilities in fields such as engineering, manufacturing, and technology.

The Indo-Japan School Alliance Student Internship and Factory Visit was a valuable learning experience that allowed students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. By witnessing industrial processes first-hand, they gained a broader perspective on how businesses operate and how various professional roles contribute to the production of everyday products

The Khaitan School, Noida, continues to encourage experiential learning opportunities that help students develop practical knowledge, explore career pathways, and make informed decisions about their future. Such industry interactions play an important role in nurturing curiosity, broadening perspectives, and preparing young learners for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
