Workshop on “Vocational and Alternative Career Pathways”

On 12th September 2025, The Khaitan School organized an enriching workshop for the senior wing staff members on the theme “Vocational and Alternative Career Pathways.” The session was designed to equip educators with insights and tools to guide students in exploring diverse career options beyond conventional academic tracks.

The workshop began with Mr. Rakesh Bhatia, a seasoned career consultant with expertise in vocational education and skill development programs. He emphasized the growing importance of vocational education in today’s economy and shed light on the rising demand for skilled professionals in fields such as digital media, paramedical sciences, technical trades, hospitality, and design.

The workshop highlighted that there is an urgent need to move away from a “one-size-fits-all” approach to career planning. Educators must stay updated with evolving career trends to provide relevant, informed guidance. Integrating vocational education into the curriculum, the speakers emphasized, will significantly enhance students’ readiness for the real world.

The session proved to be a valuable professional development opportunity, reinforcing that career guidance is a shared responsibility among educators. It also reaffirmed The Khaitan School’s commitment to empowering its staff with knowledge and resources to nurture well-rounded, future-ready learners.
