School Organises POCSO and Juvenile Justice Act Awareness Workshop for Staff

 

As part of its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety, well-being, and protection of every child, The Khaitan School conducted a comprehensive awareness workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 on 30 June 2026. The workshop was organised in three separate slots to ensure the participation of all teaching and non-teaching staff members.

The sessions witnessed active participation from teachers, administrative personnel, security guards, helpers, housekeeping staff, and other support staff, reflecting the school’s holistic approach towards creating a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment for every student.

 

The workshop focused on enhancing awareness about the key provisions of the POCSO Act and the Juvenile Justice Act, while sensitising participants to recognise various forms of child abuse and neglect. The resource persons highlighted the responsibilities of every staff member in safeguarding children, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, and responding effectively to any suspected or disclosed cases of abuse by following the prescribed reporting procedures.
